Optivo – Sittingbourne
The brief
Working with the main contractor Magenta, Acoustics By Design specified the required absorption for each of the meeting rooms, the correct ceiling tile for the open plan floors and used Lencore sound masking to maintain the privacy and comfort throughout.
The ceiling tile used was the Armstrong Optivo Perla OP1 with an absorption coefficient of 1.0 reflecting no sound. The meeting rooms had at least one wall treated with the ReSorb Wall product, a stretch fabric system with client provided graphics.
The Lencore Spectra iNet sound masking was installed above the ceiling to all areas. Zoned to provide optimum levels of background sound reducing stress and distraction in the open plan whilst raising the privacy for collaboration spaces.
