Acoustics By Design were asked to visit Telefonica, Leeds to assess the acoustics in two large open plan offices and advise what measures could be taken to reduce noise across the floor to help with staff concentration.

The ceiling was the most effectively treatable surface in the office but landlord owned and expensive to replace, as a cost effective alternative we recommended our circular ReSorb Islands to help reduce the reflected sound by the metal tile ceiling and therefore reduce noise from propagating across the office.

Over 200 islands of various diameters were suspended beneath the existing ceiling. The locations and heights were randomly set to improve the overall aesthetics.
