Acoustics By Design were engaged to look at a number of acoustic issues across the Paramount Pictures offices in Holland.
The building is a converted ship building warehouse, with the main feature being the large atrium spanning three floors. Noise from the servery on the ground floor could be heard in most areas of the open plan office.
Acoustics By Design recommend the installation of absorbing materials above the servery to reduce the level of noise close to the source - ReSorb Clouds were subsequently installed, suspended from the concrete ceiling.
The acoustic study was conducted out of hours and covered reverberation, background sound levels and noise propagation.
