The brief
Working with The Interior Works who had been awarded the refurbishment contract, Acoustics By Design gave advice to control the reverberation (echo) in the meeting rooms and CEOs office.
The plasterboard ceiling throughout the open plan space was also of concern, whilst speech privacy was not required, concentration was, and with multiple conversations across the floor the office would be noisy and less productive.

The solutions included ReSorb Islands distributed evenly across the open plan, 40mm deep class A absorbers. ReSorb stretch fabric walls colour matched to the paints specified by the interior designer were used in the meeting rooms and CEO’s office, the size of the material was calculated to achieve the right reverberation time for VC.
